Organic Whole Turkey
Buy onlineWe think our organic turkeys make for some of the tastiest, juiciest turkey we’ve ever had (and our customer feedback suggests those who have tried them would agree!). Our organic turkeys are raised on family-run farms in Ontario, where they enjoy an organic, non-GMO all-grain diet. We never treat our grains with chemicals, herbicides or pesticides, and we never add animal by-products or antibiotics to the feed. We hope you’ll make our organic turkey part of your family tradition!
Keep refrigerated or frozen. If frozen, do not thaw at room temperature. Place your turkey on a tray in the refrigerator. We suggest that you allow 5 hours per pound (10 hours/kg) of defrosting time.
When preparing your turkey, keep raw poultry separate from other foods. It is important to wash working surfaces (including cutting boards, utensils, and hands) after touching raw poultry.
If you are stuffing your turkey, stuff just before roasting. Do not stuff the day before. Do not stuff a fresh turkey before freezing and do not freeze a cooked turkey with stuffing still inside.
Cook thoroughly. A meat thermometer inserted in the inner thigh should read 180ºF (82ºC) for a stuffed turkey or 170ºF (77ºC) for an unstuffed turkey. The legs should move easily when twisted and the juices run clear.
When the turkey is done, remove from oven, cover with foil and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes before carving.

Did you know...
A flock? A gobble? Nope. The correct term for a group of turkeys is a rafter.
