Yorkshire Valley Farms Eco-Scholar Award supports the next generation

We're on a mission to leave the world better than we found it by impacting the planet positively for generations to come. One of the ways we are doing this is through our Eco-Scholar Award.

The award provides a total of $10,000 in financial support to Canadian students who are passionate about organic regenerative agriculture and how it can be a force for good in our society. Past recipients have come from various universities and schools across Canada.

Their work is tackling some important themes including soil fertility, food insecurity, biodiversity, food sovereignty to name just a few. Recent recipients have worked on:

  • digital marketplace and management platform to help small farmers reduce food loss and increase income
  • creating a soil fertility map to help local communities plan
  • learn how young farmers are advocating for more sustainable futures
  • researching how to bring biomimicry and biodynamics into farming
  • develop climate technology products
  • develop a cover crop certification course for organic farmers
  • building a computer vision algorithm to help diagnose corn disease

Through our investment in this award, we are empowering the next generation to effect meaningful change. Learn more about past recipients and the award: Eco-Scholar Award.
